Description

Various fitness classes run for different conditions, ages and abilities:

LOW - VERY LOW INTENSITY

Tuesday. 11.30-12.30 Leisure centre, Wellbeing hub. Aimed at older adults with lowered functional strength and mobility. Works on strength, balance, coordination, core and CV. Stretching included. No floor work. Uses exercise aids such as weights, resistance bands, chairs, steps, beanbags etc

LOW-MODERATE INTENSITY

Monday 8.00-9.15. From Farndon Fields. Brisk 60-75 minute walk, followed by coffee. (FREE)

Tuesday 10.00-11.00. Welland Parkfit. Mixture of strength and CV fitness. Stretching included. Clients bring own weights etc if requested for each class.

Thursday online class (via StarLeaf app). Mainly CV Fitness. Alternatives given to suit ability. Various health conditions catered for. Stretching included in cool down.

MODERATE INTENSITY

Thursday. 9.15-10.10. Welland Parkfit. Mainly works on CV fitness, with some use of weights or other resources. Various health conditions catered for. No floor work. Stretching included in cool down.

Thursday. 4.00-5.00 Harborough leisure centre. Cardiac rehabilitation. Aims to raise heart rate to preset individual levels safely, and maintain effort level for up to 25 minutes. Long warm up and cool down required.


HIGH INTENSITY

Saturday. 9.00-10.00. Farndon Fields estate (online if weather is bad). A mixture of high intensity, high impact CV work, plus strength and floor work. Flexibility, and balance included

ALL SESSIONS ARE £5 EACH except Monday walks, which are free. By arrangement there are more walks available for those referred with health conditions.
